Hello McFadden Market Co-op Members,
We have been unable to raise the funds and volunteers needed to meet our goal of opening a retail store in a reasonable time. As a result, I recently met with a member of the Boise Co-op Board of Directors to inquire whether Boise Co-op may be interested in opening a satellite co-op in the Meridian area. They have responded that yes, they will open satellite stores, possibly one in Meridian, but probably not for a couple more years.
Your Board of Directors has voted to close our effort and return the 90% of your membership to each member as we promised. The other 10% has been used since our incorporation for a website, insurance, communication and mailing costs. No Board member has benefited from any portion of the Co-op funds; all time and some additional expenses have been donated by Board members.
If you have established a new mailing address in the last 3 years, it is critical that you send me a message with your correct mailing address so that you may receive your refund check. Any refund checks that are returned with an incorrect address will have the membership refunds donated to a non-profit designated by the Co-op Board. If you have any questions, please email.
